The Toyota FJ40 is the model designation for a Toyota Land Cruiser 40 series made from 1960 until 1984 (in Brazil, where it was known as the Toyota Bandeirante, it was made from 1968 until 2001). The Toyota Land Cruiser is the longest running model line in Toyota’s history. The evolution of the FJ40 Land-Cruiser reached a high-point with the 1979 model. Standard features include front disc brakes, ear ambulance style doors and highway friendly gearing (3:70).

This particular car is from the Ron Rosner collection and was reportedly used as a display and demonstrator at one of their Toyota Dealerships.
 
Finished in its original color of Freeborn Red, white roof with Shale Grey leatherette interior. Visually maintained, largely original.

A cosmetic restoration. 

A stock interior. The seats have been covered as original and has the rear mounted folding, jump seats with OEM roll bar. For true open air travel, the roof and doors can be removed in concert with the fold down windshield.

The underside has been refinished and the running gear is in good working order.  Under the hood, the engine and exhaust system appear as original.

The FJ40 has plenty of power and torque thanks to the legendary, six cylinder “2F” engine producing 135 horsepower and 210 foot pounds of torque. That power is transmitted through a bullet-proof four speed transmission to a manually locking hub four wheel drive system.

Beautifully restored and can be taken immediately and put into use.

This 1973 Toyota FJ 40 Land Cruiser is a fine example of a Classic Vintage SUV! This Land Cruiser is a lot of fun to drive and very nostalgic. It has a rebuilt stock 6 cylinder engine with no power steering, no power brakes and no disc brakes, just a bare bones FJ 40 that drives like it did when it was new. It's a bone stock as they come besides some recent upgrades we did for the owner in order to get him a little more power. 

We recently installed a new Specter off road Header & complete exhaust system & a Holly 350 2 barrel carburetor. It actually does have quite a bit more power now. The owner kept the old original parts if you want them. We also just rebuilt all of the rear wheel cylinders so the brakes work a lot better now. We just painted all of the door components, and installed new hood hinges.

The paint is really nice. It came on the car when he purchased it a few years back. It has really clean stock black interior, with recently added rear seats & belts. The hard top is very clean and everything is nicely painted, including the rust-free floor pans. It has a stock-looking modern blue tooth radio with speakers.

I’m selling my 1974 FJ40, it has some rust around the gutters on the fiberglass hard top, the body is clear of rust. The previous owner completely restored it and invested close to $50,000 in it and I still have all the receipts from when I purchase it from him. It has a very strong 400hp 350 small block in it and it was off the frame restored from the previous owner. Rhino liner in the cab. To many other extruders to list.
